This small main floor powder room was very stark with bright white walls and a 10′ ceiling. The home owner wanted to add drama with high contrast. Inspired by a piece of art she found on the internet, she commissioned me to sketch with paint the Eiffel Tower. The tower starts at about 2.5′ and is just over 5′ tall and is located adjacent to the toilet. A bit of the park landscape was continued onto the next wall at eye level (when seated). Later, the wall opposite the tower was painted by the home owner a solid matt black to balance with the light airiness of the sketched wall – very dramatic.
